Evergreen. This variety of Rh. brachycarpum is coarser in its entire habit than the parent species. It grows more upright and has larger leaves when young. In addition, it is only slightly hairy on the underside at first, but this soon disappears. The flower stalk is relatively small. Flowers are creamy white, with a touch of pink and a large yellow-green-brown spot. Very hardy.
End of May to beginning of June.
