Evergreen dwarf shrub with spherical, slightly flattened growth. 10 years old about 0.4 m high and 0.6 meters wide. Leaves dark green, numerous scales, aromatic and fragrant. Small flowers pink purple, about 2.5 cm in diameter, but very numerous. Generally well hardy, protection from late frosts is recommended.
