Initially upright and slightly loose in youth, later broadly upright growth. The leaves are medium-sized, elongated, pointed oval, deep dark green, as if covered with wax and have a pleasantly aromatic scent. They got the scent from both parents, which made it even stronger and more aromatic. The waxy leaf is from the father Rh. xanthocodon. The flowers are pink-orange to apricot when they open and are purple-pink when fully bloomed. Sufficiently hardy in protected locations.
Early May to mid-May.
