Medium-strong, broad, upright, compact growth with fresh, dark green, medium-sized, elongated, pointed-oval foliage. The previous year's leaves turn yellow in autumn and then fall off. The flowers are purplish-purple pink. A very old, extremely rich and very early flowering variety. Generally hardy, only vulnerable to late frost due to early flowering.
