Compact, broadly round growth that hugs the ground. Adapts very well to the terrain. The leaves are small, elongated, round oval and steel blue during new growth, later silvery gray green. The leaves have glandular scales on both sides, which are sparser at the top. These scales give off the scent when you touch them, but also cause the beautiful leaf color. The flowers are violet-blue with a purplish-pink tint. This hybrid is still hardy even in southern Canada.
Early May to mid-May.
