Kalinka has a compact, evenly round habit and dark green, slightly shiny foliage. Winter hardiness is good. The flowers, which are purple-pink on the outside and light pink on the inside, appear at the end of May to the beginning of June. On a white background, an initially yellow-green, later yellowish-brown pattern can be seen. The flowering period is from May to June.
