The wild species yakushimanum comes from Japan from the island of Yaku Shima and is becoming increasingly popular. Since it grows rather slowly and compactly, it is ideal for increasingly smaller gardens. In addition, it tolerates the sun well and is decorated with a pronounced indumentum (felty covering). Flowers light pink with dark green glossy foliage.
