Also known as Yakushimanum FCC. Very compact and flat-growing Yakushimanum selection with very dark green, glossy foliage that is completely woolly tomented when it shoots. While the indumentum remains densely tomentose on the underside of the leaf, it disappears on the upper side. 'Koichiro Wada' blooms very profusely even as a young plant; The flower is pure white from delicate pink buds. Flowering period from mid-May to early June. Winter hardiness very good.
