Evergreen, leaves obovate to oblong, 5 to 12 cm long, 2 to 4 cm wide, dark green and with a white felt covering underneath, flowers in groups of about 12, crown funnel-shaped to bell-shaped, about 4.5 cm wide, white to pink, with carmine red spots. China, western Yunnan, east side of the Lichiang Mountains, at an altitude of 3000 to 4000 m, on grassy slopes. 1 to 2 m. Beautiful foliage plant with very good winter hardiness.
